After 3 years Gish finally gets a publisher...
The Valve driven online service Steam put an updated and spiced up version of the Indie hit Gish up today for a one week super low price of 7.95!

With new unlockables, fixed up gameplay and over 80+ user made levels now supported on the new official websites crypticsea.com/gish, i hope that steams users will take to it as much as the indie community did almost 3 years ago.

support us! and buy a freaking awesome game for only 7.95!

This is tottaly worth it. I'm probably going to buy it along with "The Ship".

I don't have amny good memories of steam, but it's still very good to have your stuff on their, amazing publicity and a great way to showcase games.

That's something i do like about it, it's a good place for independent developers to get known :).

Anyway, congrats, you deserve it :).

yeah, it will be interesting to see how it goes. honestly i wasnt a fan of steam either but their support is awesome.

thanks

Congrats Ed :) Wish me luck for my two upcoming PC games! :)

good luck on those PC games ! :)

Awesome. I never bought it the first time round so this'll be my chance. Im not sure if you remember Ed, but around the time it was coming out in England we used to speak, I remember I asked if you could etch my name on a rock in the game.. and you said no. :)

I think i remember that :) its better that you got this version then the origional anyway. this version is updated with a ton of fixes and extras that the origional version didnt have.

Continued success to you Ed, btw your mechanical portraits were very cool.

thanks, ive been working on some new portraits when i have some down time between games, ill try to get a new set up soon enough.

I hate steam, and i didn't buy gish when i had the chance ages ago despite thinking it was amazing. So why am i so tempted to go and buy it off steam right now?

I hope it works out for you though. You did something brilliant with gish, and you deserve all the returns you get.

thanks :) feel free to spread the word. word of mouth is what its all about.

haha, congrats about the new publisher for gish!

i like your profile message too.

Gish looks like an awesome game, it looks very similar to Loco-Roco for the PSP, did you play any part in the making of that or did they just copy Gish?

they just copied gish, gish came out years before loco roco.

i bought it grat game good physics v nice m8

OMG I was so happy for you guys when I saw it on Steam (I'm a big Half-Life junky)!

I had downloaded the demo for GISH when I was into Diverge a while back.

If you are going to be working on future projects, I can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve Edmund!

yeah im currently working on Gish 2, 3 online vs games and a few other side projects.

I will support soon, I wanna buy it seriously!

And in another subject , what's gonna be added on the sequel :)

Gish 2 will be totally new, we are working on a lot of awesome shit that will floor you for sure. just wait.

Congrats on the publisher :D
Just thought I'd tell you, I found your game in one of my UK gaming mags as a editors choice for under-rated games :D

what magazine was it?

It was in a magazine called "GigaHz" Issue 7 Pg129.
Unfortunately, I tore out the page, thinking "No shit! I know that game from Newgrounds" And I had the intention of 'one day' maybe sending it to you. But never got around to it, found it randomly when I was cleaning and then put it in the bin.
Anyways, it was in a section called "Gaming for something completely different".
The section featured about 5 games and yours was one of them. Giving a synopsis and their recommendation.
The article was written by Matt Powell (if you wanted to know xD)
And the magazine is discontinued and it's publisher Highbury was taken over by Imagine Publishing.

Wow! excellent stuff! XD

Well done on that

Congratulations on getting on Steam, but what are the new unlockables? Do I have to buy the Steam version or are they in a patch for the non-Steam version?

Woah!
You know, I actually HAVE this game already.. o.o
I really like it, too =D

Hey, Edmund, will you be restocking your store with some "This Is A Cry For Help" CD-s anytime soon? Because I missed my chance to pick this up, and I would really love to. Cheers!
