Mind going into more detail about the ending? The weird running multiplication thing really didn't make much sense to a few people (or at least me).
Oh, and I really liked the alt level idea. My only real irk was that I couldn't 'restart' the game without deleting my entire save file.
the splitting was supposed to appear as the enlightenment of steven, there are now multiple paths his life can now take because he has gain perspective from his experience in the box.
But I liked Wonder Boy (well, specifically Wonder Boy III: Dragon's Trap)
Yeah, I also spotted the game at that Eurogamer show.
Also spotted a GamesRadar preview of SMB.
Y'know, I'm hoping Nintendo stick with this demo program they've got going, as I wouldn't mind trying the game before shelling my pennies.

the game was truly awesome and I did discover alternate levels playing through it a second time
the radio part made me laugh because I'd probably think I was hearing voices if that happened so suddenly

For me, the alt level thing was a huge plus. I thought it was pulling some maps straight from the portal, and that i was the only one playing the game I was playing. It gave me an incredibly large feel of isolation.

Oh, the new on-page user-generated-levels business is great. I've never seen that on any other site for a Flash game.
The whole metaphor of being trapped in a box, goin round in circles, breaking out etc all makes a bit more sense now with the school reunion analagy. I still don't get why you'd tell your past-self to get in the box so harshly though. I mean surely you'd tell your past self to avoid the box. Unless you've split into two people, and the BOX VERSION of yourself is the one tellin your past-self to get in the box while your OUT OF BOX VERSION is away.

I didn't know there were alt levels until just now, and i DEFINITELY thought i was going crazy when looking up hints on the level i was stuck on for a while. also i thought the user generated campaign had the major problem of impossible levels getting put in. i imagine people voted impossible levels as super hard, which got them stuck into my campaign (making the campaign impossible to finish).
all in all, it was a great game; next time i would rather see it done in a more robust language like C/C++. i doubt you will do it because it would be so much harder to distribute, but i want to see what you can do with no limitations...

I'm so glad I'm on the top 20 most difficult maps, with my map "blind" #12. This game is awesome, and I hope you make more games like this (and even better games).
Yeah not my favorite games but it did pass the time and it is the most i EVER seen in a flash game. Only thing is when it involves time travel and all that crapola and this and that it makes me think to much then i get a headache then i start thinking more then i try to solve the meaning of live and time and space then i pass out x_x. Thansk to the game that happened about 20 times not counting the other 2 that happened while i typed this..
